Patriotism is love for your country and loyalty towards it. More often, the suggestion is that even if there are things that warrant the sacrifice of one's life (one's children, for example), one's country is not in this category. It was also an act of patriotic Americans. Patriotism is about loyalty to the principles upon which the nation was founded — without close-minded support of template national identity.
Up to this point, we have concentrated on the roles of nationalism and patriotism in affecting Chinese consumers' bias towards products characterised by a high degree of Chineseness. It can recount, too, the nation's mighty progressive tradition that has labored to bend the arc of history toward justice.

There is a vital and living tension in the makeup of American patriotism, a tension between its universalizing ideals, with their rationalist and contractual tendencies, and its particularizing sentiments, with their emphasis upon memory, history, tradition, culture, and the land.
