It's estimated that roughly 4 million to 5 million Americans currently use kratom , also known as Mitragyna Speciosa If those numbers are accurate, that equates to roughly one percent of the population. I worked with a doctor for years who gave me lyrica and a small prescription of opiates for breakthrough pain, I used the opiates a couple times a month, if that, for extreme pain only (12 pills 4 times a year) it's really sad that given my track record of use and refusing to be on long term opiates (tried that once, with a pain doctor and hated it) that even getting those couple opiates can be hard to do. I currently dont have insurance, got off lyrica (it's very expensive) and now I've been taking kratom for 2 years.

While the FDA has been clear about its opposition to kratom for some time, it has not previously publicly supported a scheduling decision. Since it has alkaloids which act like opiate receptor agonists then you can utilize it to substitute opiate drugs, either as a pain reliever or to keep you away from opiate withdrawals.

Kratom Seeds is a substance that can provide a lot of help for pain, I have heard the stories from others who have been helped and I wanted to be helped too. The difference between kratom and opioids is that kratom prefers delta opioid receptors first while heroin and other opioid drugs bind to mu opioid receptors.

Since withdrawal side effects may be significant and potentially dangerous, kratom may be slowly weaned, or tapered off, in order to minimize the symptoms. This is probably also true for kratom, because like opiate drugs, the effects of kratom are due to opiate receptor agonist activity.

Some of the potential negative and positive effects of kratom at varying doses will be discussed below, but above all else, it's important for people to realize that no matter the short or long-term effects, kratom is considered addictive, and people can develop a physical dependence to this substance.

The symptoms of withdrawal are almost identical to opioid withdrawal (insomnia, anxiety, diarrhea, runny eyes and nose) and are treated in a similar manner. While kratom does potentially become a drug you can get dependant on, it has nowhere near the debilitating withdrawal symptoms of pills.
