Polished concrete is very durable because it is concrete, one of the most durable materials known to man. Over time, these soils can scratch and abrade the surface, interfering with the luster of the floor and giving it a dull appearance. This offers further cost-effectiveness as expensive replacement of carpets, vinyl and other floor coverings will need to take place before a concrete floor requires updating.
